Several security features which include guilloches, background printing, rainbow printing, invisible fluorescent printing or mixed into visible ink, micro-printing, OVIs and modified fonts just to name a few, are applied on the security documents such as Bank Notes, Currencies, Passports, Driving Licenses, promissory notes etc to enhance the security features. While many of the features are in use as known to those in security printing the list of such security document is exhaustive. For example in Watermark itself the features range from Single tone, Duo tone to Multi tonal Water marks. One has to therefore understand the differences between them to conclude how the features can be effectively applied on specific documents to combat counterfeiting.
